  • if its a chip set you can replace for $50 or less the 15 or so crashes wouldn't matter, but just like the chips in the ham radios... every time it crashes, one of the many lines in the chip just burnt out. how a $800 CPU chip/ $1300 main board can become junk in under 1500 hours of use.

  • If you think this was crazy, I once ran a 3in duct from my window AC output to my monitor. Not my PC, my monitor! It was a 19in View Sonic CRT beast and it got so hot I used it as a room heater in winter, but in summer it was totally wrong. I really do not miss those old monitors! Can you imagine what it was like in some offices with dozens of those monster all running at full blast? I always wondered why they didn't include fans? But Jay, don't use that kind of AC, they are very inefficient and big power users. Do the same hook up with a window AC then test it, you'll get better results.

I plan on upgrading when ryzen 4 is released and the new nvidia architecture makes its way to consumer cards. But I’m currently running a ryzen 5 2600x and a GTX 1070 FE. Everything is stock. Oh and my MB is a x-470 pro. I first built a pc to get into pc gaming, a friend gave me a pc which was like 8 years old. However I wanted a better gaming experience
