  • @JayzTwoCents - I am a radio-frequency engineer specializing in RF filter design, and your observation makes total sense. One of things may computer users is that when you have computers with high frequencies, you have radio waves (aka EMC/Noise). The reason the MTCC is that they are capacitors all the way to 10,000 MHz! Those MTCC capacitors are formed to a very controlled RF Filter to keep the noise out of rest of the video card. If you use those larger capacitors, you have no filtering above it's self-resonating frequency, which may be as low as 1200 MHz! As a result, the higher frequency clock signal - and its noise - will get right into the system and that filter is invisible to it. Therefore, that "Boost Clock" is the problem.

    • @Steven Wilson - you are correct. Unfortunately, the FCC regulations only apply to RF coming from outside the card - not from within.

No request for him to understand or explanation, maybe he doesn’t care to understand or isn’t interested. Just saying that it flew by him. No problem there. When people start piling on about reading comprehension and laziness in that scenario, it’s ironic

  • Makes sense. I’ve found that just about everything in life worth doing, is worth doing right. Unfortunately many people in the decision process are only driven by their bonus at the end of the year. Profits will often out way quality. What makes it worse is a lot of people will lie about problems and or not having problems before they have an agenda. It will take time for a real understanding on which units are having the most problems

  • All of these "gaymers" out there crying out about Clocks, and here I am purposelly undervolting and underclocking pretty much every piece of hardware that I put my hands on, since I learned that I had no major compromise in performance by doing that, matter of fact only benefits. Hilarious... so basically these cards, when underclocked, will perform with no issues right? Fine then.

  • I don't particularly know (or care) what's going on with these NVidia cards, I'm just here out of curiosity because of the video title, since I already made a choice to go for Ryzen 5 APU's anyway. But even then I can't fully outright hate NVidia because over the past 5 or so years they have been better, more functional and more compatible with Linux machines overall, even having "closed source" drivers and so on. AMD had the best hardware, but they were always playing catch up with their own drivers, always lagging behind in the software department. In present day, late 2020, the situation changed, AMD seems to have gotten their shit together, alright, but NVidia still has plenty of good karma to collect at least on my part. They didn't leave Linux users behind, even when they had all the opportunity to do so. Let's hope AMD can make good use of the new shiny throne and not corrupt themselves.

  • Your so right... My msi 3080 is branding by 1815Mhz, thats what i pay for! With boost 2050Mhz, so 235Mhz+. After crash i reduce the Core Clock by 50Mhz and all is fine. Overall a + by 185Mhz more than was msi say's. The next thing is use 3 seperate 8pin cable for the card, and not the Y-cable. Other Cards on 1710Mhz msi on 1815 so 100more as some others... For me is all fine with the 3080.

I change them less than other branded mobos around that computer shops often use. • Top shareholders Nvidia: Vanguard group, Blackrock Top shareholders AMD: Vanguard group, Blackrock Ur money goes to the same people. /fake competition. Not saying they are bad, I have their gear for a decade+ , but the competition is somewhat fake. If one company goes worse, the investors give more to the other. You will always buy AMD or Nvidia now, and never even consider a 3rd company. This is the entire reason why they bouncing wins for the past 2 decades. The investors need both to do well, so they will always "catch up" to each other. Do you know why some people always "predict" these flaws to happen? They like to think it's because they are smart, but it's because there's nothing random about it. The thins is being gamed to stir ur emotion to get fully invested in either brand.

Risking stability, MUCH more chance of game crashes & annoying stuff like immersion ruining "artifacts" popping up in games all for about 5% MAX increase in performance & usually 0-1% increase? Overclocking has ONE, single use, world records & Im pretty sure 99.999% of gamers arent going to use their 30 series card to attempt world records right?? I can say at $3,439 AUD, this Gigabyte 3090 is the most overpriced ever tho.

    WillWillTháng trước
    • @Redban loves asians Are you calling this video "proof"? Are you literally that stupid? This video shows literally 0 proof and only speculation. Where are the tests to show the difference in performance with the two capacitors? Where are the graphs and data to support this? Where is your brain? All of the above are not present in this video. It's one thing to deny evidence, and another to be gullible. Now as a disclaimer, if any new information is released I would not know, as I only know information up to the date of my previous comment. However, this does not change the fact that this video shows 0 evidence. PS All I am saying is that without proper information or confirmation, we shouldn't simply just accept and believe whatever is thrown to us. The thing that truly is mind-blowing is the people who believe stuff without evidence.

      WillWill22 ngày trước

Idk why you'd bother to destroy 3000 dollars worth of GPU unless you're actually going to show what's inside. I usually run ASUS or GIGABYTE but can't see inside the gigabyte from your video ,you just show the Cheap brand that nobody ever heard of.... I wouldn't buy a 3080, 2080 probably can't even be stressed by Direct x 12 games.... maybe if they come out with a new Dev kit i'll upgrade but a 1080 is just as fast as your meme cards that overheat or crash cuz they rushed a product that nobody needed.

"You'll get someone report something, then you'll get others who are just not fans of the brand like yea it's happening to me too but they don't really have the card they'yre just regurgitating things they heard..." Here's the #metoo translation: "You'll get someone file a lawsuit/accusation then you'll get others who do not like the accused saying me too, even though they're just regurgitating things they heard..." Thankfully, this is a case where the ACTUAL proof is coming out behind those claims, so no it's not a #metoo thing. This time.
