    • @AirAssault7 Even with the 3080, you should be happy/it looks like we FINALLY have some decent cards FINALLY. Also your wait is over, for the 3080, it releases today/September 17th, I've got seven more days, until I can get my 3090s, September 24th. Also yes, I make good money, but I also dedicated, ALLOT of time to learn ALLOT, A+,Network+,Linux+,Security+,CEH. I also learned HTML,CSS,Java Script,PHP,Python and Java. I'm currently working on the RHCE and getting better at C++. Point being, I've worked hard to get where I am. Also yeah, its gonna be an expensive year, for everyone lol. I also plan to get a PS5, mainly for exclusives, such as god of war, uncharted and so on/anything thats not available on PC. I wish one feature would be added to the PC, thats on console, I have fiber/a gig up and a gig down, speeds, but steam caps you/you can't always use those speeds. The PS4 allows you to download a portion of a game and then start playing the game, steam should add this feature. The PS5 drops November 12th.

  • Jay please look on Alienware’s site. Look at their prices for the Aurora 11. They are gouging on the 3080. Look at the base configuration that has the 1650 Super. They want an ADDITIONAL $833 to upgrade the system to a 3080. That means they are charging the base price for the 1650 Ti PLUS $833 for what is supposed to be a $700-$750ish card. Can you do a quick video about this? I think they need to be called out on that! This is as of Oct 15th.

  • I actually didn't know the precise dates for AMD's showings and I'm planning on selling my pre-built to make a "future-proof" PC (in preparation for the new consoles) in December. So, thanks for this video, I'll be keeping my eyes out, especially since I was planning on putting in a Ryzen CPU. I just hope AMD can STOCK the new things better than Nvidia has with the 3000 series, and that Raytracing support doesn't become splintered by which dev works with Nvidia or AMD like PhysX. And not having DLSS 2.0, a feature I'm more excited for than Raytracing, does blow, but I'm interested in seeing how that helps the coming Switch revision.

Was thinking of getting a Ryzen 3600 with RTX2070 Super and I keep hearing about the 3070 launch and the 4000 series processors however I'm not sure I can hold off, we are about to have a second wave of COVID here in Canada with potentially crippling lock downs and I don't want to be stuck at home with no new machine or GPU I may just have to buy now. You can't always keep up with the Jones so to say. Also the pricing in CAD is ridiculous at times compared to USD, when they say $499 for something there it seems closer to $900 here.

  • I anticipate RDNA2 being slightly less performance at quite a bit less power consumption. Also at slightly lower price points. So it depends if you need that extra performance at the extra up front cost plus the extra power cost over time. I love the heat sink design nvidia came up with though, and I might have bought a 3080 if they were available, but now I need to wait and see.

It's just difficult to sit on my hands when the money I have set aside for a new build is burning a hole in my pocket. Idk if I'm going AMD or Intel now, the disappointment with the 3000 series launch has cooled my jets a little bit. • I went ahead with purchasing a X570 mobo. I am not sure if X670 will have features that are practically usable. I mean we are barely starting to use PCIe gen 4 bandwidth. And Zen 3 still being AM4 / DDR4 and next CPU generation will be AM5 / DDR5, an X670 has limited forward compatibility.

  • Yeah I think when ams finally releases stuff I'll probably buy a mid range pc. Currently I'd pick a 10400 since its cheaper and fastwr but I hope AMD will come with some good stuff. • I agree with this general school of thought; especially for GPUs. Though I would say a Ryzen 3000 series CPU is far from a bad investment if current pricing is within your budget. The compute power already available in the 3000 series is excessive for most users and will last you many years to come regardless of the 4000 series. The only thing you lose out on by buying now is a potential savings which you have to weigh on for yourself. I don't see the entire world moving to the 4000 series when it drops. With GPUs the savings will be much more significant like Jay talked about in this video. You also may see a real chance of games out pacing the 2000 series architecture. That is an entirely different ballgame and I would not buy a 2080TI today.

  • We don't know which cards AMD holds. But Nvidia sure have a clue what's coming from AMD. How is that? Why would Nvidia release a new generation of GPUs almost twice as fast for almost half the price over the previous generation? They wouldn't! Unless they _know_ AMD has something great up their sleeves. Also, AMDs chipset is the only chipset with PCIe 4.0. The Nvidia RTX 3000 series has almost no real use of PCIe 4.0. But Nvidia probably know that AMDs next GPU will perform better with PCIe 4.0 and that's probably why Nvidia has released their new cards at reasonable low prices. It sure is exiting times for upgrades :)
