A lot of people expected the 3080 FE cooler to cause issues for the CPU... but we didn't expect it to actually HELP cool the CPU...

  • Idk man have you played cod? A lot of people sit in the corner and don’t move like that.

  • I got a ASUS TUF 3070, witch also has the open top at the same spot, and my CPU is getting way hotter now. It might be because of the fact that the 3070 generates more heat than my previous 1070Ti, or maybe because my CPU has to work harder with higher graphic settings. I don't think people keep this is mind.

  • Hi. I got EVGA XC3 ultra, anb my temps look like on this video. Is it normal???)

  • Why didn't they just have the fans flipped? The back would exhaust hot air up and out the rear exhaust. Hmm.

  • So it looks Normal that my EVGA RTX 3080 XC3 Ultra is about 80-85 Degrees While Gaming. I was Shocked about this Temp cause i only had Arround 65 Max at my Vega 56 didnt Expect it to be that much more.

  • I played warzone on everything max with my 3080 and it said my temp shot up to 86 mainly when jumping out of the plane. Kind of scared me

  • Fact that blower coolers that dump all the heat out the back of the case are arguably the best one to have, Love the FE design of the RTX 3070.

  • my 3090 fe is roughly 15c lower than the MSI ventus 3090 OC, and is much much quieter, the clock is higher than the MSI and more stable than MSI. I believe the FE would be the best card to buy than any other AIB cards. Only downside is if you can buy one and they are in limited supply.

Well Guess I´ll match my AMD CPU with some Big Navi GPU too. Way to go Nvidia, forcing customers away (and to the competitiors)

  • That's because im using Wraith ripper cooler for my TR 2950X. So, bevor the heat comes to the CPU it's running first through the cooling pipes or something. The Coller itself is intergrated insinde of the hole Cooler construction...

  • I wonder if it has a fan speed issue where its set to low. Because I have the RX 590 FX Fatboy and it use to get those exact same temps once I tweak the fan to default to 60% it gets 33 idle and 56 Gaming. Funny how all the AMD jokes for heat have backfired lol.

  • A good analogy I'd do for the "with airflow vs without airflow" that the NVidia cooler provides is: "In the hot days of heatwaves in summer, you probably prefer when there's wind blowing on you, even if it's not "cold" rather than not having any and feeling suffocated". Same thing for pc components, how surprising!

    Erio MaondialErio Maondial2 tháng trước
  • Excellent video!! Just one slight mistake in your conclusions @jayztwocents: When you mentioned that that 3090 would have less of an impact on the temps because it has a better cooler. True, the cooler on the 3090 appears to be much bigger than that of the 3080, but, GPU effect on case temps is not dictated by how good the GPU cooler is, but by how much heat the GPU produce... If its 30 watt higher, than the better cooler will do its job at releasing 30 extra watt in the case.. (The only way around that for the 3090 is if its cooler does a better job at blowing more of that thermal energy outside the IO connector plate... The cooler thermal capacity tells you how fast heat can be conducted away for the GPU and released into the ambiant air... The better it is, the more heat is released into the air... the weaker, the more the GPU temps rises under load... One could argue that cooled chips are more eletrically efficient and therefore generate less heat but with turbo boost technology, this point is moot...

  • This video could be improved in various ways. The most obvious is charts(even the most basic ones are better than no charts), since you're measuring something. Providing the numbers side by side gives a useful perspective. Then there are timestamps which you can either use in the video or in the description. It really helps if one wants to jump forward or backward in the video. It may also help if you put the name of the card you're currently testing on the screen while it's being tested.

    madman2umadman2u2 tháng trước
  • I really wish this video was released before I got my EVGA 3090 XC3. This card throws out some serious heat compared to other models. I have a fairly well ventilated 780t and my 3090 gets up to 85c unless I pull the side panel off. Doing 4K@120hz this card rides 80c all day and night completely open vented. Now to decide whether or not I should return it or just step up to FTW. 😞

  • Interesting video! ) Not that i Will be able to buy those kind of cards quickly... But for that kind of gpu fans designs...and the associated global airflows inside the case..even compared to the more traditional multi fans gpus... Food for (multi)thoughts... ) Thx so... !)

  • Someone needs to make a case where its a mirror image of the current design. Have the open panel for the case on the other side. You could then flip the mb upside down so the cpu/memory is at the bottom and gpu at the to so the heat from the gpu can be vented straight up out of the case
