  • Intel still generates more income than AMD and Nvidia combined, AMD will make the same mistakes they always make. Intel hit some bumps in the road because they wanted to manufacture in house, they've already talked about offloading production and have more capital for R&D.

  • I don't know not being a terrible computer brainiac, I'll trust the experts to talk to me about what's got the higher specs. But I've always used Intel, been comfortable with Intel and have never been sorry. Whereas the one time that I had an AMD chip in an Alienware laptop, I had so many difficulties getting that machine to do what it should have done, I ended up returning it and getting a refund. That's why I really won't go back to AMD or Alienware

  • It's always better for customers, and businesses to have two or more strong companies competing in the market. Bad things get weeded out, and good performance gets rewarded. I'm not on team anybody. So I'd rather see Intel get it's act together, and bounce back in the CPU market. I'm buying a new CPU/Motherboard combo this week. But, the quality, and affordability of my NEXT CPU purchase two or three years from now depends on continuing fierce competition in the components market.

  • please realize that intel is going down for years. until they drop their prices to 50% of its current price people will just shift to AMD AMD is jack of all trades right now most consoles and incoming products uses amd processor. intel is going down if they don't do something. • Hey it is a Request, btw thank you for the great Video and Would you do a Performance comparison on these Budget gaming laptops. ALL AMD(DELL G5 SE). AMD(4800H)+NVIDIA(1660Ti)(TUFA15, keep the base open xD), INTEL(1070H)+NVIDIA(1660Ti)(DELL G5 2020) , idk if there is INTEL + RYZEN. It will also help us understand how well the CPU AND GPU interact. You are free to chose any laptops for any scenarios that match the Processor and GPU.

  • Considering that intel is still in 14nm imagine what they could do if 7nm wasn't delayed. I am still thankful that it was delayed because AMD makes cheaper processor that is faster in productivity tasks and in some games at the same price point

  • Intel earns 5 billion dollar (net) every 3 month - after they have paid all the stuff, all the bonuses, all the investment, all of everything... So, that is more money than most of us have on their bank account. And this will always go on for the next 50 years (at least). So Intel is not in trouble !!

  • Intel is in serious trouble because of the incompetence of its fabs, particularly the yield department. The CEO needs to sell off its fabs and manufacturing unit to the highest bidder (Gloflo or Samsung?) ASAP and buy one of ARM/Nvidia/AMD/Qualcomm with the proceeds for Intel to stay relevant in the long term.

    D kD k4 tháng trước
  • The AMD v Intel and AMD v Nvidia for gaming argument over the last couple of years has always included the cost per FPS angle and how you shouldn't buy part X because it only gives a 10% performance increase for a 20% price increase over part Y, etc. So, does that mean that all of these XT chips should be avoided because of their horribly poor value. The 3800X is $70 cheaper than XT on Newegg right now.

Justin The MatrixJustin The Matrix4 tháng trước
  • I agree with Jay to an extent with overclocking but there is an advantage to per core oc. Im running a 3900x with 1 ccx at 4.5 and the reset at 4.325. That oc resulted in me hitting a cinebench r20 multi of 7900 from 7200 on pbo. Single core at 524 from 502. 3d mark timespy at 16500 from 15600 pbo. When it comes to ryzen I believe the motherboard plays a huge role in maxing out the cpu. Im running an asus crosshair viii but before that I was running an msi tomahawk max and I barely could get 4.2 on all core

  • People seem to ignore the fact that just because you’re only getting a small clock speed boost over the regular non XT chips I wonder since they’re binned they might actually manually overlock much higher than the standard versions so while the base clocks & boost clocks aren’t much higher it’s possible manually they overlock far higher as it would be interesting if someone actually did some testing on manual overclocking on the new XT chips, and see what’s up

  • Hi Jay, love your content, very informative. Thanks. Quick question, I am planning a new PC build, AMD based, with the drop in AMD Threatripper prices, what would be the best, going with a Ryzen 7 or a Threatripper( Theatripper on Newegg for $200)? Pc will be mostly general gaming, streaming & recording streams. Also want to ensure the PC is future proof, atleast 5 years. I can share my PC build link for review if possible? The Budget is $1500. Thanks

  • I also had the bios from June 2019 and I did have to update mine when I got my 3600. It seemed to work at first but then I tried adjusting my fan setting in the bios and my PC wouldnt boot up. I learned how to clear the CMOS and that seemed to work til I tried to boot with stock Ram settings. Thank goodness I found your video from a couple months ago where the same happened to you. I tried one last tine to use my pc without flashing the bios and when I tried to open a game the whole PC turned off and wouldnt boot again. All that being said. I had a real fun Saturday

  • These XT's are friggin weird. For the price of these new cpu's you can just buy the next one up ..As prices have dropped on the standard cpus paying what they were orig. is a bit strange and here is why. The 3600XT is about the same price as the 3700x it's 6 core at the same price as a 8 core, or the 3800XT 8 core or the 3900X 12 core for roughly the same price.... this isn't a good deal at all. So you can either get a few less mhz but get a extra few core's and overall better performance so these XT's are a joke and a bad one at that. They should have just sold them as a reg. X series at the same price and give people more overclocking headroom... The few mhz doesn't equate into hardly any real world performance anyway so the price hike just isn't worth it. And with the Zen 3 coming up why bother at all if you are thinking of needing a upgrade...

Building a r5 3600/rtx 2060. I don't even care that the 2060 will be outdated in a month or two. It's crazy how much everything has progressed since then. The cost of ssds, and the speed of ram blew my mind. I had 1866mhz ram back then and thought it was hot shit lol

Fast forward to 2020 my wife is much more into games, has noticed games look way better on my 1440p setup and is yearning to also game at 1440p, I am really happy to be able to just pick up a 3700/3800/3800XT and a RX5700 for $600 ish and put them in the existing setup for a massive boost. I can see why the XTs exist as the best you can get on the upgrade path if your setup is for gaming and you don't want to replace the whole system just yet. My wallet is very happy :-)
